This sake set is currently being researched; its design is often categorized as Oriental Ware or Arita Ware. Arita is a town in Japan where a significant portion of Japan’s porcelain production occurs. Interestingly, upon translating the Chinese letters located below the sake cups, it was discovered that they read something like “Mount Taishan,” which is situated in the Shandong province of China. I hope the riddle will be lifted soon.
