An Amazing 15 Piece of Russian Matryoshka

The image shows a set of Russian nesting dolls known as Matryoshka dolls or Babushka dolls. These dolls are a traditional Russian craft. They are known for their distinctive construction. This construction features a series of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other.

Each doll is painted to depict a woman dressed in traditional Russian attire, often adorned with floral patterns, as seen in this set. The outermost doll is the largest, and each successive miniature doll fits inside its larger counterpart. The dolls in this set are brightly colored with red, yellow, and floral designs, which are characteristic of classic Matryoshka dolls. These dolls are popular as souvenirs and are cherished for their craftsmanship and cultural significance.

I was traveling to Moscow in 1985, and I remember those dolls were quite expensive; we could only afford dolls that were composed of 6 pieces.
